Het preLink® bekabelingssysteem is een universele bekabelingsoplossing voor IT, gebouwautomatisering en industrie. Het is een oplossing die voor alle toepassingen even goed functioneert. Alle preLink®-connectoren, -contactdozen en de nieuwe PCB-contactdozen hebben één ding gemeen: met gebruik van het preLink-klemmenblok kunnen ze allemaal in luttele seconden worden aangesloten. Het coherente hart van het systeem.

preLink®-bekabelingssysteem voor het ethernet

preLink portfolio

Een unieke, functionele eigenschap van het preLink®-systeem, nergens elders beschikbaar op de markt, is de scheiding van kabel en connector in twee aparte units. De kabel en connector hadden eerder een bevestigde, vaste verbinding. In het verleden konden crimpcontacten of isolatieverschuivingscontacten slechts eenmaal worden aangesloten. Nu is de preLink verdeeld in twee scheidbare units. De eerste eenheid bestaat uit connectoren, contactdozen, koppelingen of printklemmen die een identieke bevestiging hebben voor het preLink® aansluitblok. Dit aansluitblok is de tweede eenheid en het virtuele hart van het systeem.

Het aansluitblok biedt ruimte voor maximaal acht draden, die ter plekke in één keer kunnen worden ingekort en aangesloten. De door het veld geassembleerde kabel past nu in elke preLink-component en kan op elk moment worden aangesloten, verwijderd of vervangen. Kabels en connectors kunnen onafhankelijk van elkaar worden vervangen of afzonderlijk worden geïnstalleerd.

Dit is vooral handig bij het gebruik van voorgeassembleerde kabels. Datakabels met afsluitblokken passen ook door krappe ruimtes en kunnen in seconden worden aangesloten. Dit maakt het werk aanzienlijk eenvoudiger en bespaart tijd. Bovendien kunnen versleten kabels eenvoudig worden vervangen, onafhankelijk van de connector op bewegende apparaten, wat de bedrijfskosten nog verder verlaagt.

Het belangrijke voordeel is de absolute procesbetrouwbaarheid van de installatie. Het systeem is bestand tegen fouten en zijn onveranderde installatieproces levert continu hoge prestaties en langetermijnstabiliteit. Dit wordt gegarandeerd door de exacte afstemming tussen het preLink®-montagegereedschap en de preLink®-klemmenblokken.

Een ander groot voordeel van deze techniek is het relatieve montagegemak in vergelijking met krimpen en IDC. De kabelstrengen zijn slechts eenmaal getwijnd door de gemarkeerde openingen van het klemmenblok. Daarna worden deze ingekort en in één handeling verbonden met gebruik van het betreffende gereedschap. Het insteken in de connector gaat zo gemakkelijk dat zelfs ongeschoold personeel het bekabelingswerk na een korte training veilig en betrouwbaar kan uitvoeren.
