Fibre optic

Fibre optic cables are increasingly being used for data transmission. The optical fibres transport light pulses in the form of coded data. This technology enables the transmission of high data rates over long distances. These cables are characterised by low attenuation, immunity to electromagnetic interference and galvanic isolation. Fields of application are telecommunications infrastructures and data centres, but from HARTING's point of view increasingly industrial plants, networks in rail vehicles and the reliable use of optical data cabling in extremely dirty environments.
