Your way to HARTING - information on the application process

As a supplier for Industry 4.0, we do a lot of things digitally - including large parts of our application process. This means that your path to us is also online to begin with Browse through our current Jobs in our job market. Select your occupational field and desired location, activate additional filters if necessary, such as your entry level, and all vacancies will be displayed. Found your dream job? Then go straight to the online application.

The online application has the great advantage for you that it is quick and we can respond directly to your application. It usually takes 10 - 15 minutes to enter your applicant profile - if you have all the necessary documents, it can be done even faster, i.e. in 5 - 10 minutes.

You can of course also attach your application documents - cover letter, CV, references and certificates - as a jpg, pptx, txt, xlsx, pdf, png, docx or jpeg file (max. 5 MB per file). Or do you have a current and informative profile on XING or LinkedIn? Then you can also use this to apply.

If you have applied for a specific position, your documents will be recorded in our applicant management system - you will then receive a confirmation of receipt.

At the same time, your application will be forwarded to the HR managers, who will check whether you are the right person for the position. The pre-selection process usually takes two to four weeks.

If your documents have convinced us, we will invite you to a personal interview or a telephone or video interview, depending on where you live. The first interview, which usually lasts 60 - 90 minutes, gives you and us the opportunity to get to know each other: we want to find out more about your personality, your skills and qualifications, you can ask us questions and sound out whether we are the right employer for you. During this appointment, you will speak to a manager from the specialist and HR departments.

For permanent positions, there is a second appointment where you can discuss a specialist topic with us or spend a day working with your potential future colleagues.

After the interview, we will get back to you as soon as possible with an acceptance or cancellation. If both you and we feel that we are a good match, nothing stands in the way of a future, long-term collaboration!

Please only use the online application method - simply select the position you are interested in in the job market, click on "Online application" and you will then be guided through the application process. The whole process takes a maximum of 15 minutes.

Please refrain from sending paper applications, not least for the sake of the environment, and please understand that we will not return any paper applications we receive.

As soon as we have received your documents, we will send you a confirmation of receipt. However, the processing time cannot be determined to the day. Your application is important to us and will be carefully checked by various people and departments. We therefore ask for your understanding if this process takes some time. We will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have not heard from us for four weeks - which does not normally happen - please do not hesitate to contact us and ask. The entire application process - from initial contact to final feedback - takes between four and six weeks on average.

Once we have checked all the documents, we make a shortlist of suitable candidates with whom we conduct an initial interview. We invite the applicants who impress us here to a second interview. After carefully weighing up the options once again, we make an offer to the candidate who we think is the best fit.

As a rule, you will speak to a HR manager and the line manager of the relevant specialist department. Our tip: Simply prepare carefully for the appointment and present yourself in an open, friendly and authentic manner - then you will certainly confirm the good impression of your application. Take the opportunity to ask us questions, whether about tasks, prospects or the HARTING company. For us, the interview is an opportunity to find out more about you, your career to date and your motivation for applying - and you can get to know us better as an employer.

Yes, upon request we will reimburse you for the travelling expenses incurred as follows: If you travel by train, we will reimburse the proven costs for the 2nd class train journey. If you are travelling by car, we will invoice you according to the flat rates per kilometre for tax purposes.
