HARTING autumn crafts: When kites fly and lights shine
Twelve yello:kidz, the so-called children of HARTING employees, accepted the invitation to Marienwerder Straße. To brighten up the grey days, the technology group spent an afternoon full of colour, laughter and autumnal warmth.
‘For me, autumn is one of the cosiest seasons of the year,’ enthuses senior manager and initiator Margrit Harting. ‘That's why I look forward to the autumn crafts every year almost as much as the little ones and am happy to keep up our tradition.’
The HARTING company restaurant ‘Casino’ was quickly transformed into a creative workshop. With imagination and joy, the boys and girls set about making flying kites and small table lanterns under expert guidance. Tea lights, decorated with wooden beads and sticks, were transformed into magical sources of light. Colourful home-made kites were brought to life with coloured paper, stabilising frames and string.
Margrit Harting is convinced: ‘The handicrafts not only warm the hearts of parents and grandparents - they also remind us of the beauty of autumn nature. What's more, it's always great to see the little artists beaming with pride at their own creations.
