CC-Link Adopts ix Industrial® as a New Standard Interface
As a reliable industrial solution, ix Industrial® complements well-known RJ45 and M12 X-coded solutions. HARTING offers ix Industrial® with additional features for demanding applications.
The CC-Link Partner Organization has released its March 2023 revised CC-Link IE TSN Specifications (Overview + Implementation Rules). In addition to well-known RJ45 and M12 X-coded solutions, the ix Industrial® Type A interface is now specified (10-pin rectangular connector compliant with IEC 61076-3-124). The ix Industrial® is internationally standardized according to IEC-Standard 61076-3-124 and transmits Ethernet at up to 10 Gbit/s.
CC-Link users now have a third industrial Ethernet-Interface for twisted pair cables. With its significantly increased reliability and a device socket that's 70 % smaller than an RJ45 solution, ix Industrial® offers promising miniaturization possibilities.Having already been listed in the GigE Vision and PROFINET specifications, the ix Industrial® interface is now gaining traction with CC-Link. ix Industrial® is thus increasingly establishing itself as a common standard for reliable Ethernet-Networks.In addition to the standard variant, the HARTING Technology Group also offers the connector with an additional pull-out aid for very compact arrangements of several interfaces next to each other. With the new Mini PushPull-Series, the ix Industrial® mating face is also available in a waterproof and dustproof version.Benefits at a glance:

About CC-Link IE TSN
The CC-Link IE TSN specification, introduced in 2018 by the CC-Link Partner Association, represents a next-generation network. It enhances the current CC-Link Industrial Ethernet by integrating Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) technology and standards related to Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth. To this end, the specification now includes a compact, industrial-grade connector.
