Energy distribution for decentralised drive technology

Energy distribution for decentralised drive technology

One of the greatest challenges faced in decentralised drive technology is continually and safely distributing energy to all power consumers, such as motors and converters, throughout a conveyor facility. Connecting these components with cabling in the field is time-consuming and can only be done by expert personnel.

When using connectors, the connection is faster, safer, easier, and “Plug&Play". HARTING's Han® Q4 / 2-3-way power distributors can be used in confined locations to save space. An extremely flat design is possible when using angled hoods because of the lowered shape of these connectors.

Energy distribution for decentralised drive technology - Han® Q4/2-3-way power distributor

HARTING's Han® Q4/2-3-way power distributors can be used in confined locations to save space.

Both the 400 V input voltage and the 24 V supply can be distributed using three Han-Compact®-sized cable outlets. For such applications, this is practically a standardised connector solution. The "Powerline" can be continued as a cable through the side (fourth) output, or the next distributor box can be plugged on directly.
The robust plastic housing features IP65 protection and meets the requirements of an industrial environment. It can be installed quickly and safely on a pre-assembled base plate made of aluminium. With its CE and the UL/CSA approvals, the power distributor is also ideally suited for international usage.

The power distributor is currently configured with the standard sized Han-Compact®. Other housing sizes – for example with the smallest HARTING industrial connector Han® 1A or customer-specific modifications – can also be used to fit into any installation situation.
