HARTING UIC IT circular connectors for fast and robust Ethernet and new solutions for power supply on trains HARTING has expanded its UIC-compliant portfolio to include a series of future-proof IT versions for the transmission of Gigabit Ethernet. The new interfaces are called HARTING UIC IT and differ in their arrangement of contacts: They offer space for 8, 8+16 (acc. to IRS 50558) or 8+8 poles. This means they can transmit data and signals for door control or Gigabit Ethernet for passenger information systems, for example.
Han® HPR VarioShell - Highly flexible housing system for inter-car jumpers offers new possibilities The Han® HPR VarioShell has a streamlined design that protects against environmental impacts such as dirt, ice or pressurised water. Moreover, the IP69 protection rating guarantees its safe outdoor use. New variants increase flexibility of use and open up new possibilities.
Efficient power distribution for railway vehicles HARTING's new interface for flexible purposes, such as underfloor applications as an alternative to the well known UIC 552 interface.
High performance transformer connectors HARTING's new trafo connector system for harsh environments ensures shielding and offers an effective mechanical coding system.
Maximum freedom for high-current transmission on the train The brand new Han® HPR Single Pole portfolio expands the application possibilities for power distribution significantly.

Han® High Power Configurator helps to speed up product development When revising the Han® Configurator in 2018, HARTING focused on what design engineers do in practice. The aim was to fulfill the user’s application requirements more quickly when configuring interfaces. In the meanwhile, the Han® Configurator is a worldwide established tool with thousands of saved and shared configurations per month.

4. Innovation for sustainability: Lighter products, digital product pass and circular economy concepts  

Significant weight reduction can be enabled by lighter interfaces and cable assemblies. Experience the digital product pass to access the product carbon footprint (PCF) of our products. Discuss further ideas for circular economy. 
A compact connector grows with the tasks HARTING's new compact connector series enables up to 25% weight and space savings´for applications in harsh environments.
